One
of the favorite arguments of avid gun owners as to why we
should not ban assault style weapons is that guns don't kill
people - people do. I heard this argument made within hours
of the Parkland school shootings where a person killed 17
people and wounded another fifteen in 4-6 minutes (reports
seem to vary). And within days of that mass shooting the speaker
of the House Paul Ryan was blaming makers of films and video
games, but not gun manufacturers.
